  • Santos FC

Rodrygo started his official career by joining Santo FC. He joined the club in 2011 at the age of 10. At that time, he played for the Santos futsal team. On July 21, 2017, he signed his 1st professional contract with Santos FC.

He played his debut match on 4th November 2017, against Atletico Madrid. He scored his 1st senior goal at Campeonato Paulista against Ponte Preta. On March 1, 2018, he made his debut on Copa Libertadores where he replaced Eduardo Sasa against Real Garcilaso.

At the age of 17, he scored his 1st goal in the tournament against Nacional at the Pacaembu Stadium. He was the youngest Brazilian player to score a goal in the tournament. On June 3, 2018, he scored his first hat trick against Vitoria FC.

Later, on July 26, 2018, Rodrygo changed his jersey number from 43 to 9. In 2019, he again switched his jersey number from 9 to 11 which was previously worn by famous Brazilian player Neymar.

On June 2019, Rodrygo signed a contract with popular LaLiga club Real Madrid until 2025 with a fee of $44 million. He played his 1st match for Real Madrid on September 25, 2019, and scored a goal against Osasuna.
